I have purchased over 200 domain names from godaddy and I'm still relatively pleased with using them for domain name purchases. As far as hosting they stink. Performance is some of the slowest I've experienced and I've purchased web hosting from over 20 other vendors.

Godaddy is one of the last companies I would ever choose for hosting.
The reason I'm even on this site at the moment was that I was looking for a reason as to why my Godaddy Mail is down at the moment.

Why do I stay with them? It's a pain to move 200 domain names all at once.

I had a couple of sites hosted with GoDaddy. Suddenly they shut me down. It took me over a week to discover that somebody had complained I was spamming them.
When I got to the bottom of it, I discovered that one of my email addresses had been used as the return address on a spam campaign, but the headers clearly showed that the emails were originating from Romania, and not from my site.
After three weeks I cut my losses and abandoned the two domains because it didn't seem that GoDaddy were going to release them or put the sites back up.
Simply wasn't worth the time. Thankfully the two sites weren't making much money but what if they had been?

I hated godaddy at first because of its unconventional investments so that they can make a lot of money. however, just like tape work, goddaddy started to grow on me. I started to love it after a few months. I love godaddy’s competitive prices. it can be used by anyone even people that struggles financially can try putting up a website and even earn some money with it. In this era, you can be smart and economical at the same time.

GoDaddy is one of the most famous domain site around the world wide web. With the competetive prices, it can surely blend depending on your financial capability. Whether its the cheapest or the most expensive one, it will surely help you with your internet endevour. The only problem, and at the same time advatage of GoDaddy, is that it uses a different business structure or process that can render problems or great traffic to your site. This can be sometimes a bad thing or a good thing. Every business venture is gamble, just make sure you have great gambling luck to succeed in go daddy!

Although GoDaddy is one of the most popular web hosts available, I wouldn’t say that it served me well for a period of less than a year that I’ve subscribed to it. For the first couple of months, I am very pleased with its reliability. The servers are running very fast. I was able to easily set up the pages as the tools are user friendly. Come fourth month of my subscription, I started to experience downtimes almost thrice a week. All I ever did after that was to complain. I kept being promised that it will be fixed immediately, but this did not happen. I decided to look for a new one and I’m glad I switched.

Being one of the popular names in web hosting, I went for GoDaddy as my website host. For the first few months, everything has been running very smoothly. I’m getting what I paid for, the website runs very fast plus the tools are easy to use. I don’t have to consult their support staff which is always ready to assist you, by the way. However, as time passed by, I’m starting to doubt it a little. Several times, my website has been down. This is something that I dread. I don’t know what happened there but I’m hoping they’ll resolve it before I change my mind.

My SSL was set to expire; Godaddy said that they sent emails to inform me of the expiration but the only one that I received was the expiration notice. I navigated to my Godaddy account only to find out that all of my domains on my shared hosting were suspended and my main site which is my main source of income was down. After catching my breath I called tech support and they said” sorry nothing we can do you should have renewed your SSL we sent notifications”. The expiration noticed did not inform me of my websites situation (MIA), I had to go find out myself. Bad news people, I have only had one or two issues with Godaddy in the past but this is it. If you can’t afford to have your website down for two days without notice stay away from Godaddy. To their credit, I looked back at my deleted emails and found notifications for other product renewals but not the SSL. The SSL server is different than the non-SSL server so they change the hosting and during that change everything on your hosting is suspended, no phone contact, your website is just gone for 24-48 hours. I have a vacation rental business and we are currently at the tail end of our busy season and I have no website. We regularly process over a $1000.00 per day, Thanks Godaddy! I think I’ll Gogetnewhosting!!!!! As of 4-14-2010 8:28AM my site at http://www.moonlightmesaretreats.com is no longer accessible.
