If you’re interested in having your website hosted, you need to be sure that you’re not getting scammed, especially if it sounds like it’s too good to be true.
One of the new ways that hosting scammers are working is to basically use up all of their bandwidth but still get new clients. If you have a lot of sites, or if you don’t check them all the time, you might not notice that some of them are down. When you complain, they’ll come back up for a while by pulling bandwidth from someone else – until that person starts complaining.
If you go to a site like that, you’re likely to get a message that says the account is suspended. It may say that it has exceeded its bandwidth or something similar, and it can be very aggravating and upsetting to people who are trying to access your site. You might not even know about it for a while, and who knows how many customers you will have lost because you were the unfortunate victim of a scammer.
